This recipe is a keeper! I decreased the amount of sugar from 1/4 cup to an 1/8. Next time I would decrease the amount of water to 1/2 cup and then use 1/4 cup Tuaca.
- 5 gala apples, peeled cored and chopped
- 1/4 cup Tuaca liqueur (optional)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine apples, water, Tuaca, sugar and cinnamon into a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling turn down to simmer for 20 minutes to reduce mixture. Pour ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Serve applesauce warm or cold.
